Permanent Clinic
One of CDCI’s goals is to provide long term care for the people
of Sabana Yegua. Through generous donations from private dentists,
CDCI has been able to acquire and transport what is needed to set
up a permanent clinic in the village. Two dental chairs, suction,
X-rays, and compressors have all been shipped and installed, making
a fully functional dental office. A local Dominican dentist has agreed
to volunteer her time to treat the needy people of this town of 10,000,
on a part-time basis. This is a great benefit to the area and meets
CDCI’s mission of a comprehensive care model; providing a long-term
solution to the access to care problem in this region of the Dominican
Republic and other places around the globe. |
